Subcontracting
על-ידי Microsoft
Just a moment, logging you in...
Outsource production operations end to end: logistics, pricing, and tracking
Subcontracting extends manufacturing in Dynamics 365 Business Central so you can outsource production operations to external vendors and manage the full process inside Business Central.
A complex production setup often relies on external vendors for specific operations, and some companies outsource a large share of their production to save cost or to access specialized skills and technology. Subcontracting connects those outsourced operations to your production orders, so material flow, pricing, receipts, and costs stay accurate and under control.
Features
- Work centers with an assigned vendor - associate a work center with a subcontractor and add it to a routing operation, so a subcontracted step is part of the regular production process.
- Subcontracting worksheet - find production orders with material that is ready to send and automatically create the purchase orders that start the operations; create orders in bulk, for partial quantities, or split into chunks.
- Component and WIP logistics - transfer raw materials, components, and work in process to and from subcontractors with transfer orders, including warehouse handling and item tracking, and support chains of outsourced operations.
- Flexible pricing - set subcontracting prices by vendor, work center, item, date, and quantity; charge per unit or per time, with volume prices and discounts.
- Receipt of finished goods — receive subcontracted output through purchase orders or warehouse receipts, capture lot and serial numbers, and correct mistakes with undo receipt.
- Automatic posting to production orders - posting a subcontracting purchase order registers output and component consumption on the linked production order automatically, and keeps dates and quantities in sync. Assigned item charges increase are included in the cost of produced items.
- Reporting and navigation - dedicated list views
for subcontracting purchase and transfer orders, factboxes in additional details in routings, purchase and transfer documents, the Subcontractor – Dispatch
List report, and overviews of order status, history, and components held at
each subcontractor.
